MasterChef Student Challenge #1

I just made it through the qualifying round of MSC and would be competing in the finals against 3 other top tier cooks. Today's competition was themed, 'American Day' so we were to make and cook an American dish which was...

...but of course! Burger!

I've never made meat patties before so I went to the kitchen and experimented a bit. I even called some mates over for some burger tasting and invaluable feedback which definitely helped! (Thank you Mum for the tips too, my culinary skills are definitely inherited from you... and from dad with his Shanghai cao fan specialty LOL)

So yeah, this Friday would be Australian Day and we're suppose to cook something Australian. The recipe would be released tomorrow so I only have a day to practice the 'mystery' dish. Hope I can make it in the top 2 out of the 4 qualified finalist.

The opening of the MSC qualifying rounds!

My recipe and analytical drawings of a burger! :D

Qualified participants for American Day!

My burger again, the Bikini Bottom Munch

Ash's double trouble

Peter's Eat the fat

Announcing the results...

Joy was ranked #1 with 26 points. (think she's pretty cute too. You don't mind me going for a thai girl do you mum? JK :P)
Me #2 with 23 points
Ash #2 with 23 points
Sujit #3 with 21.5 points
Peter #4 with 16 points

Describing my Bikini Bottom Munch...

After the tasting..

After that went out with the girls for some cupcakes, coffee and of course CHAI LATTE!
Will be out with the girls again for cheap Bimbo's pizzas and Koko Black hot choco cause I know girls dig hot chocolate especially with this cold, wet weather. :P

Went for some dessert and hot drinks at Little Cupcakes.

Susan's awesome cappuccino

Denise's Latte

And my awesome Chai! ;D

Wish me luck for the finals and yeah GOD BLESS!
:D

did u leave the chopped onions out? i find chopped onions make crumbly patties n prefer them served separately.
