What am I talking about? Contact lens duh!
Since getting a pair of specs here will cost a bomb, mummy dearest bought some contacts for me... and today was my first day wearing 'em.
It took me roughly about 10-15 minutes to put them on this morning before going to uni and boy was it tough! I think my awesome eyes aren't meant for contacts, thus... the extra 10/15 minutes in the bathroom this morning. Angela even recommend GEO lenses. Word!
But after 5 months of minor blur vision, things around me became so clear and detailed. I stopped and stared at the buildings along Flinders for like 5 minutes, just admiring things that I couldn't have seen with my blurry vision... Pedestrians thinking I'm some kampung boy arriving to the city for the 1st time.
I google'd contact lens(I tend to do this very often on anything that I have low knowledge of) and soaked up a lot of info about it. For example, the 1st contacts were made of glass(ouch) and aren't permeable. After that, better versions were made. One being polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) which was also known as hard contact lens and the other silicone hydrogels which we all come to know as soft lens.
Interesting facts indeed!
Had a really long productive day at uni. By the time I jumped off the tram at Melbourne Central the sky was pitch black and the cold air was there to greet me. Time for some hot coco, thick blanket and SC2.
P.S: Mum I'm planning to get a loftbed. Will be heading to Ikea tomorrow morning to check some out.
