Where I find peace again

Here's an awesome skit for you guys based on a song is called 'Everything' by Lifehouse.

Watch and listen to the lyrics!!!

In this skit, there is the human who is the blonde girl in black, Jesus who is in white with the purple sash and followed by the 5 mortal sins which are (lust-the guy with the rose, greed-the man in yellow, addiction-the drunk girl in white, avarice-the lady in pink and suicide-the figure in black).

It's about how men stray away from God for mortal sins to pleasure themself. And during our darkest hours, when we realized we have done so much wrong and we want to return to Him. It's about our struggle with sin and how God sacrificed His son Jesus to save us.

Every time I watch this skit, it brings tears to my eyes.
It's just truly amazing, the Lord truly shows his love and mercy and how he stands for us even if we fall away. He allows us to make our own decision but hopes that we will choose Him.

His love for us never fails and never fades with time or distance. He is the best. Truly the best.

I hope this video did touch you viewers. Do leave a comment or two about the video. Did it touch you? If it did, in what way? :)

Peace out!

All we are

Just dug up another oldie that I used to always listen to.

A lovely song about life and love... hahaha. It's being played at the place I currently work. (learning how to make awesome coffee, as you know... Melbourne peeps are into their coffee so it's a coffee culture here.) :)

I can proudly say that I made this myself! =3
My next challenge would be making baby animals on the lattes!. =D

Coffee is awesome. It's just sad some people can't appreciate it (at least try to). But then again, it's their choice in losing out on one of life's many splendid goodies.

Anyways, here's the vid!

Enjoy and peace out!

Monash O-Week

So this week is O-Week for 1st year Monashers!

Like a lot of us seniors, we are not allowed to enjoy the free food and gifts the freshies benefit during O-Week... but who cares? The other reason we are here... of course... is to look at fresh fishes. :O >:P

Yes, all of us chanted, 'Fresh fish! Fresh fish! Fresh fish!' when the freshies lined up for hot pancakes... but so did we... :)

This year, Monash has a total of 4500+ freshies in all campuses combined. About 1200+ of them study in Clayton campus!

Mingle mingle! ;D

Lemon lawn grounds before being flooded.

Freshies!

Yum! Free pancake, topped with vanilla ice cream and maple syrup! Can't get any better than this!

After filling our stomachs with the good stuff... we went for the 'lecture' for 1st year international students... which was such an UNNECESSARY method to get close and stare at 'fresh' chicks Steven! -____-

Pfft... almost fell asleep in there. LOL

Adjusting to Aussie culture.

Hm... Mum, I mean TERRI, you dig? Jk. :P

After the 2 hour long lecture... the clubs and society booths are open for all freshies to sign up.

Yes, we expected a H.A.S. booth somewhere.

*Hentai.. ahem... Art... ahem... Society*

Havoc...

Free games and activities, free food and drinks, hot chicks to look at... Ah.. the splendor of Australian life. =3

Dean's lawn... being owned as usual. LOL

Well, that's about it! Classes are commencing next week! Can't wait to meet new peeps from my ECS branch! Fingers crossed for hot girls!

*Had a bet with the guys for which department of engineering has the most and least chicks... the one with the least has to spend the one with the most for a free lunch of ANY choice!* LOL

Till then kids...

Peace out!

Welcome back to Monash University!

February 18th, 2010.
Enrollment Day for Monash Engineering Students.

Ah, it's good to be back to Monash University! Back to where great minds come together and learn! Like our motto, 'Ancora Imparo', which translates into 'I am still learning'!

It's also great to see freshies around campus. They, just like I was, looked all eager and excited to be enrolled into one of the top 50 universities in the world! (Monash is currently ranked as the 45th best university in the world and the 4th best uni in Australia!) :D

My mates and I went to building 72 which is the ECS department, part of the Engineering Faculty (largest faculty in Clayton campus) to enroll into our specific engineering courses. Among all my mates, I'm the only one taking ECS. -___- I guess ECS is NOT as popular as civil or chemical which makes me... SPECIAL! :D

Directions around the Faculty of Engineering.

2nd year engineering student's Survival Guide! :x

BE(Electrical)... SPECIAL! :D

After all the paper work and meeting and listening to the head of my department, we headed to Chadstone Mall for food and a movie! Went to the food court to munch down on the goodies! :P

Just some pics of what the we ate...
Steven's(aka HJ Boy) usual meal for breaky, lunch and dinner. -___-

Ab had unagi and rice.

Hanson had some chicken and beef stir fry.

Fiji and I had the same thing... only that my portion was kinda... um... large. LOL

The guys went for grocery shopping at Coles.

Oh, about the movie... We watched the Daybreakers... which was all bloody, gory and just plain illogical! Don't bother watching it unless you want to kill time... but a much better way of killing time for me would be solving the darn Rubik's cube which I am now trying to solve under 3 minutes! :P

Yes, I'm a cube addict!

Came back around 6:30PM.

Just plain tired now. Checking the mails, gonna freshen myself up and for the next hour... I would be checking my unit guide to see what I'm up against for this semester!

Our mail collection area! :O

My personal notice board. :)

Till then kids!

Peace out!

Going down to Chinatown!

Man, this Chinese New Year is not that awesome compared to what my friends are experiencing in KK.

Gosh, looking my mum's blog... the food...
Man, I wanna teleport back to makan with them and then teleport back here in Melb. LOL

Seriously serious...

Someone MUST create a teleporting machine!

Anyways...

My uni mates and I went to Chinatown to 'guang'. Loads of tents and other entertainment booth were set up along Little Bourke street for the CNY festival. The air was filled with smells of food, gunpowder and sweat.

Chinese sausage on a stick anyone?

Rows and rows of food stalls filled with chinese cuisine.

Yes, we do have the 'dong dong chang' here in Melb. =)

Chinatown along Little Bourke Street

Almost every restaurant had a bundle of fireworks set up on their main entrance. The entourage would perform the lion dance and then light up the works.

Boom boom boom!!!

Huge crowd! This is just a small section of the street.

I know, I know... meals in KK are MUCH better. But hey, at least I can enjoy some chinese food with my mates. :)

Went to Section 8 for some drinks. Cool place to hangout. :D

Well, I have more photos to add. Just darn lazy to resize them. Will continue! :D

That's all for now!

Peace out!

Oh goody!

Thank God for yesterday's thunderstorm and today's cloudy weather, I can finally sleep well! :D
It's now approximately 20 Celsius according to the digital thermometer I made during 1st year!

I woke up pretty late this morning, probably due to the vege and egg diet I started 2 days ago.
-____-

Went to Don Don's for the Don Don Box which was what I needed for gym later on... carbs!

Yum yum! :P

On my way to FF...
State Library where loads of people hang out to soak up some sun...

Melbourne Central's Big Cuckoo Clock

Off to gym I go. :D

Got back like an hour ago, had a shower and I started revising on my ECS books just to prep myself up for this semester...

...and of course some Calvin and Hobbes comic during break time. :P

Have a great weekend guys!

God bless and peace out!

Melbourne oh, Melbourne...

you're killing me with this heat. :(

Boy was it hot yesterday, was about 30+ degrees at the apartment. Was cleaning up my room and settling bills and all. Ugh... The heat was like the one you get when a power failure happens in the middle of the night in KK.

Before...

After...

High five! :D

Later in the evening, I went down to Elizabeth Street to get my replacement SIM at 3 Mobile. While doing so, I had this weird funny feeling in me, you know the one you get when you are at a new place? Just 2 days ago I was in quiet KK, and I'm now in beautiful Melbourne with beautiful people...

and of course we have the weirdies too...

Woke up around 8 this morning to walk and jog around Carlton Gardens to keep myself fit. :D

Burn those fats yo!

Later on I went to 'Fruits of Passion' with Gayl for brunch. She had the 'Joe's burger with the lot' which was huge for only AU$8.95! I had the eggs benedict with grilled tomatoes and mushrooms for AU$11.50. Good stuff!

Eggs Benedict with tomatoes and mushrooms

Gayl's 'Joe's burger and the lot'

Both of us had lemon-lime fizz. ;)

Around noon time, I went to Woolworths to shop for some groceries for this week. The place is just huge! Loads of tempting goods. :(

Just a fraction of the place with quality food.

Aisles and aisles of...

Salami, bacon... but, but, BACON IS GOOD FOR ME!

Cheese... Saya mahu! :(

Don't worry mum, I just bought myself some salad, eggs and balsamic vinegar. That would be enough for me to stay fit and save loads. :D

Well, I'm off to print out my CV and go get myself a part-time job! Just hope I can get more than AUS$ 15/hr! Will keep you guys updated on it! ;D

Till then...

Peace out!

:)
