Q4: 2010

Was at Boxhill yesterday when I saw a few people setting up the Christmas deco and I'm like...
'Gosh, it's gonna be Christmas again. And with Christmas approaching that means year 2011 is just round the corner.'

And that means I'll turn 22. :O
And a few years later on I'll get married to someone who's just as awesome as I am. And then I'll have kids (I love kids :D) and ol' papa Ming is gonna teach them some fancy tricks that will stun (or confuzzle*) their friends with amazement.

Here's a few examples of my awesome possum SIHIR tricks.

1. The Pinky

2. The Magic Rings

A few of my mates in SI and Kian Kok are married already and I won't be surprised if I get a few more wedding invites in the years to come. Guess I gotta prepare myself for the transition towards adulthood.

Gah, how fast time flies when you get older.
T____T

But for now the important things are family, friends, God and uni. :)

Talking about uni... Swotvac just started so yeah, need to grind hard on the revision notes!
Can't wait till I finish my final papers so I could chill and get a part time job before I head back to KK. Yeepie!

It's 8PM now and it looks like 6 PM in KK.
Spring has sprung.

Wish me luck and do pray for me!
God bless and have a splendid week!

*confuzzle is being in a state of confusion and puzzled. LOL

4A.M.

Yeap it's 4 AM and I'm not asleep yet. Trying to maximize every hour to finish off my notes... and yes I do take a few breathers in between so no worries. :)

I just can't wait to finish this sem off and head back to KK.
KK is home, and there's no better place than home.

But before I head back to KK around Jan there's a few things I've gotta accomplish after exams.

1. Bring Alison out. It's been awhile since I last saw the little girl and mum told me she always asked about me. Probably gonna end up walking Bobo the beagle too. LOL

2. Spring is here and it's time for me to enter the cutting phase. Low carb and sugar diet here I come!

3. Help out the youth ministry in Skyline. I love being around with kids and teens and if I could be a small part in nurturing their hunger for God, that's just awesome.

4. This time instead of just being at home waiting for uni to re-open, I'll get a part time job. Preferably at Starbucks as a barista. It'll be great on my CV and I could get better jobs here in Melbourne.

Ah coffee... you make the world go round.

5. Join the APA! I believe this is the best way to have fun while getting fit. And believe me, people who do parkour have abs. Super iron man ABS!

Parkour FTW!

*****************************************************************************

For now, I have to put all of these on hold. It's gonna be just me, my notes, laptop, headphones and tons of lecture notes to finish up. Oh goody, 3 more hours before day break... how sweet student life is. :D

BiS: Psalms 119

I got back from the Ignite meeting yesterday and it was great! Ignite is the young adults group in Bridge church consisting mostly uni students and some young working adults.

The meeting kinda reminds me of the youth gathering every Friday at Skyline.
Great company, passionate worship, awesome speakers and exquisite refreshments are the bomb!

I've met so many people that day, it came to the point where I got everyone's name mixed up. Here's the scenario:

*chat chat chat*

Girl: 'Hahaha, Hey... do you remember what my name is?'

Me: 'Er...' *dang Ming, think.... THINK!'*

Me: 'Suu.......*continues*'

Girl: 'It's Pamela.'

Me: 'suu.... PAMELA! Hahaha, yeah, Pamela. Just got it at the back of my head'

*Awkward silence*

I think I deserve an awkward pat on the back. LOL
:P

To all my dear readers who are Christians. You should really consider joining a cell group! It is where you can grow together spiritually with a small group of brothers and sisters. A definite plus if you ask me!

Anyways, I would like to share a small bit from yesterday's sermon.

*****
We should all think like Jesus in all circumstances.
The actions that we make are from our thoughts initially.
The way we think affects our emotions which will affect our actions.
By changing the way we think and think carefully before we perform, we may avoid a lot of actions which we may regret in life.
*****

To me, it's something definitely worth pondering. I went for a walk alone at Carlton park, just sitting on the grass and started doing some short reflection on what the Pastor had said and the things that happened in my life. And from that, I've pin pointed a few of my mistakes that I have missed out and I would definitely correct them with the best of my abilities and God as my guide.

Do join me in doing a daily devotion on whole chapter of Psalms 119. I believe it will do you good in every way.

Lastly, thank you Cheryl and Becca for the dog tag!
I just received it last week from the mail.
It's so cool! You guys even had the silencers attached to em!
One question though... what's the M beside my first name? It is Marc or Male? LOL
Thanks again guys! Will be wearing it till either I die or the chain breaks. Hahaha!

This is Ming signing off!

BiS: 5 Pillars Of Manhood

This is something I want to learn and live by, the 5 pillars of manhood. For now, I think I've covered one or two of them. :)

The 5 pillars that differentiate us from being a man and a boy are:
1. Lead
2. Protect
3. Provide
4. Integrity
5. Courage

To be Christ like is to be man of faith and honor.

And indeed I want to be a man of love, hope and faith. I will live by my own words and actions, be a living proof of my values, convictions and commitment.

1 Corinthians 13:13
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Actually you guys should do bible study on the whole 1 Corinthians chapter 13. For me, it's a short but powerful chapter on the three values mentioned above.

Thank you Flora for sharing this wonderful link!
God bless and have an awesome week my dear readers!

Go MAGPIES!

Footy finals this weekend between Collingwood Magpies and St. Kilda Saints!
The titans are gonna blow this match out of proportion.
Due to a tie last Saturday, the two finalist would have to battle things out again this weekend.
Talking about double fatality.

I'm sticking with the Magpies this coming match.
Funny how I used to call Magpies, cow birds. LOL

Anyways, here's a shout out!
GOOOOOOOOOOO MAGPIES!
