BiS: Give thanks

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Snaps!: Party@theCrib

I've decided to start a few Snaps! post, similar to tumblr or an FB photo album.
These posts would consist mainly pictures that I've taken with the camera and very few text for the body. Would try to use the title to best describe the pics.

Short and simple... just the way I like it. :)

The Influence

I love how KevJ and the other YouTubers try to remind us all that certain catchy songs and their dirt(or maybe third) grade lyrics maybe poisoning the younger generations. I know some of you might say it's just a song with catchy beats and all, but we have to come and realize that these things maybe or maybe I should say will affect us one way or another.

Songs have very strong influence towards the human mind, our behavior and our emotions. The things we listen to, the lyrics can either lift us up or otherwise put us down. But essentially it's our own choices to either feed ourselves with the good or poison our minds and change how we look at things.

Most of the songs today are talking about sex, drugs, alcohol, swearing etc... and to me, they are certainly not suitable for kids and teens to listen to. And yet, they are aired knowing it maybe harmful. Swearing has become so common that I was not surprised some preteen would say it to one another thinking it's cool and all.

But the truth is, the habit of swearing degrades the person who swears and like we've all felt it before... puts a strain on the audience.

Bands such as Metallica, Guns 'N' Roses, Slash etc... most of their songs revolve around those themes I've mentioned. The more we listen to it, the more we put our guards down on these things. You may not realize it now, but it will one day bite back.

I know some of you may not agree, but hey... these are just my thoughts. I'm a Christian and I think by avoiding a few of these type of songs and bands would really cement and strengthen my Christian values which I should live by. Better safe than sorry.

Anyways, here's the KevJ video I was talking about earlier on. Listen up! :D

Battlestar Galactica

I can't believe I missed out on this sci-fi series for the last 6 years!
It's a really great 4 season long sci-fi series about the human civilization, how we act, the things consequences of our actions, awesome Cylon battle and much, much more.

Like all popular series(and the least popular ones), there are indeed cliff hangers. But these cliff hangers aren't the cheesy ones, it's something entirely new! I can't describe it cause I may spoil the good stuff for all of u readers. :D

Btw, Grace Park is smoking hot and cute!
She can melt my chocolate heart, no problemo. ROFL!

So yeah, I'm half way through BG and so far it has satisfied both the nerd in me as well as the emotional side of a Ming. Verdict? Awesome possum-licious. Hahaha!
